Nigerians Should Pray For Continued Divine Intervention Against Coronavirus – Part 1.
If you compare what is happening in other countries of the world, including Western Europe and the United States, to that of Nigeria, concerning the Coronavirus pandemic, you’ll agree with me that Nigerians have every cause to glorify the name of the LORD and to pray for continued Divine intervention against the pandemic in Nigeria.
Read more to find out why I said so.
When Coronavirus first broke out in China in 2019, many people thought it was a ‘Chinese disease,’ and one of those diseases that would just appear, spend a little while, and disappear.
They didn’t believe the disease would spread beyond China, let alone destroying economies and killing people in their thousands on a daily basis.
But today, we know better.
The disease arrived in Nigeria in the early part of 2020. It was ‘imported’ by visitors to Nigeria and by Nigerians who travelled overseas.
Before its arrival, many European and American leaders had expressed their fears that the presence of the disease in African might be the biggest calamity that would ever happen to Africa.
In short, they predicted that Nigerians and other Africans would be wiped out by the disease to the extent that those living would not be able to bury their dead.
Their prediction was hinged on the fact Nigeria and Africa in general did not have the capability to cope with the pressure that goes with the disease.
But fortunately for Nigeria and Nigerians, that prediction didn’t come to pass; God proved those who made it wrong.
Contrary to that prediction, the dreaded disease has killed more people in the countries with the best of medical facilities than it did in Nigeria, where there are few or no medical facilities to contain it.
Isn’t that a miracle?
There’s no way anybody can describe this irony of life other than a miracle.
It’s only God that can cause a country with little or no medical facilities to record fewer deaths in the hands of Coronavirus than countries that have what it takes to fight the disease.
In short, Oluwa is involved (God is involved)!
I cannot say exactly why or how Nigeria found such favour in the presence of God.
I can only hazard a guess.
Here’s my guess: God knew that the majority of Nigerian leaders are criminals and do not care about the people they lead, let alone providing them with medical facilities.
God also knew that Nigerian officials and political leaders would steal the money and food items donated by other individuals and corporate organisation for the use of the poor masses of Nigerians, which the officials eventually did.

So, the only way He (GOD) could fight for millions of neglected, helpless, and poor Nigerian masses is to shield and protect as many of them as possible from the disease.
There’s something that struck me most about this miracle: It contradicted the rule of the game; it came when most Nigerians were not obeying the precautionary measures against Coronavirus, including wearing of nose masks, washing of hands, as well as observing the social distancing rule.
The reasons most Nigerians refuse to use nose masks, as well as observe other Coronavirus precautions, are contained in my story, 3 Major Reasons Millions Of Nigeria Don’t Believe That Coronavirus Is In Nigeria.
All in all, Nigerians, individually and collectively, owe God special thanks and appreciation for saving them from recording many deaths in the hands of Coronavirus.
They need to pray for continued divine intervention against Coronavirus.
May the good name of the LORD be praised and adored.
