7 Health-Related Reasons More People Die Now Than Before – Part 3.

This is the concluding part of the three-part series published two days ago.

5. Foolish Belief

A man said to me recently: “I don’t think I can risk driving my car for more than three months without taking it to my mechanic for a general check-up and maintenance.”

When I jokingly asked him: “Do you also go to the hospital or visit your doctor every three months for a medical overhaul? his answer was: “My body’s maintenance is the job of God, not me.  I don’t need to go to the hospital when I’m sick”

Was he right in his thinking?

For me, the answer is capital NO!

…the ONE whose name is JEHOVAH

Why did he have to take his car to a mechanic for regular maintenance and failed to do the same thing to his health?

If he had so much faith in God, why did he take his car to the mechanic? Why didn’t he leave it for God to fix for him, too?

I believe strongly in the scripture that says: With God all things are possible, but that does not stop me from visiting the hospital and consulting a doctor.

I go to the hospital for doctors to cure me, while I allow God to heal me based on the treatment I receive from my doctor.

I cannot be foolish not to go to the hospital, especially when I’m sick.

I have seen and read about people who died in their churches after they were rushed there, instead of to a hospital, as a result of one ailment or the other.

Some people have died as a result of this type of foolish thought and many others, like them, are on the verge of following suit.

Those who refuse to take drugs or to visit the hospital in that circumstance, believing foolishly that God would magically heal them in their houses, even in the church, are simply foolish.

If they were wise, they would have gone to the hospital and pray to God to use the doctors there to grant them a speedy recovery.

That’s the right thing to do and not to avoid going to the hospital.

Since hospitals were built for sick people, we should go there, especially when we are sick, for doctors there to cure us while we allow God to heal us consequently, hence it is said: “Doctors cure, but God heals.”

6. Disobedience And Stubbornness To The Word Of God

Unfortunately, many people do not like seeing or hearing the words ‘God’ and ‘Jesus Christ’ mentioned outside church premises or outside places of Christian worship.

Different versions of the Bible containing the Word of God

Such people usually ask foolish questions like: “Are we in the church that you’re discussing God or Jesus?” and “Would you mind leaving God and Jesus out of this discussion until we get to the church.”

To such people, I owe them no apology.

Anybody who thinks that discussions on God and Jesus Christ should only be restricted to only church meetings and places of Christian worship should have his or her head examined.

Do you know why?

Because leaving God out of ANYTHING that we may do, be it business, politics, and sports, among others, is like trying to flip our fingers without involving the thumb.

The point that I’m trying to make here is that whatever we do, both within or outside the church must be done in obedience to the word of God as contained in the Holy Bible.

Obedience to the word of God is an assurance of success in everything that we do; socially, spiritually, politically, financially, and otherwise.

Lack of obedience to the word of God is the reason most of us do the things we shouldn’t have done, as well as die when we shouldn’t have died.

7. Ingratitude To God

Our God, Jehovah, is the God of love, and that of mercy.

He never stops doing good to us.

He always cares about everything that concerns us, including our health and our finances.

But unfortunately, many of us are not appreciative of all that He does for us.

One of the numerous quotes by Cicero

We behave as if He owes us the good things He does for us.

We also behave and believe that everything we own and every achievement we make came as a result of our strength and intelligence.

My experience and study of this situation revealed that people who are ungrateful to God end up losing the blessings of God, including good health and life itself.

If a person does not have life, what else would he or she have if not DEATH?

you.
